Landmark Series – John Chestnut Park

DroneVU Studios went on location to John Chestnut Park located at 2200 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34685 to film another aerial segment of the Landmark Series.

This park is home to various wildlife including raccoons, alligators, various waterfowl, hawks, vultures, tortoises/turtles and more.

Nearby is Lake Tarpon which is five miles long and one mile wide, and between  8-12 feet deep. Lake Tarpon can accommodate power boats and is a popular destination for fishermen. Additionally, a canoe trail connects to an interior lake, for canoe enthusiasts.

For those who prefer sports,  and have their own equipment a softball field is available. There are three nature trails, each approximately 3,000 feet in length.

DroneVU Studios went on location to provide some fantastic aerial video and aerial photography footage of the park and surrounding area, but don’t just take our word for it, check out the video then head over to the gallery to see the aerial photographs. As always, we put our drones to work so that you don’t have to.

Landmark Series – Brooker Creek Preserve

DroneVU Studios went on location to Brooker Creek Preserve located at 3940 Keystone Road, Tarpon Springs, FL 34688  to film another aerial segment of the Landmark Series.

Brooker Creek Preserve is located in Pinellas County, Florida, owned by the Pinellas County government and the Southwest Florida Water Management District, and managed by the Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources Department. It encompasses 9,800 acres and offers birding, horseback riding, and hiking. It is the largest natural area in Pinellas County and consists primarily of forested wetlands and pine flatwoods.

The Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center features displays and interactive exhibits about Florida natural history and local history. Educational and interpretive programs are offered for the public.

DroneVU Studios went on location to provide a unique aerial view of the preserve. The preserve is quite large and admittedly we did not explore the furthest reaches, but we did manage to film some of the trails, walkways and bird outposts.

Check out the aerial drone footage in the video and stay tuned as we eventually update the gallery with the latest aerial photographs.

Aerial Real Estate Photography

DroneVU Studios Aerial Picture

Real estate agents are using professional drone pilots to shoot aerial shots and take aerial videos of residential and commercial properties as a part of an emerging trend to increase market exposure for their sellers.

Commercial use of unmanned aerial systems is an emerging market that could see as many as 7,500 small UAS’s within the next 5 years.

For safety and privacy, professional aerial photography companies such as DroneVU Studios always flies line of sight only and restricts flights to over the property that is being photographed or recorded.

Typical rates to use an airplane or helicopter can exceed $1500.00/hr; far more than a small drone based aerial platform will cost.

As aerial photography and aerial video continue to help real estate agents and home sellers increase property’s selling potential, DroneVU Studios will continue to deliver high quality videography and photography which is guaranteed to set your listing a cut above the rest.

Drones Help Farmers

Overhead Drone Photography Corn Field

Drones have many uses in the aerial photography field and one of them is to assist farmers in finding new ways to increase crop output while reducing crop damage.

Historically if a farmer wanted to survey vast farmlands from the air, the only way to do so was to hire an expensive fixed wing or helicopter pilot to record aerial video or take aerial pictures.

Thanks to drones this cost can be greatly reduced by using a drone to do the heavy lifting.  As drone and camera technology improves the aerial imaging capabilities of drones will be used in even more and innovative ways to help farmers maximize their crop production.

At DroneVU Studios we can picture a setup where a drone could fly at a preset interval to specific way points and provide farmers with valuable insight into everything from fungal problems to soil discrepancies, to watering irregularities.

Although DroneVU Studios does not specialize in aerial photography or aerial videos for farmers, we could develop a custom solution upon request that would assist local Tampa farmers in keeping a close aerial eye on their crops.

Drones Meet Star Wars

A French drone club raced through a forested drone course at speeds exceeding 70mph.  A total of 24 drones competed in the event, we are not sure how many lived to tell of it but the footage from their FPV (First Person View) cameras is phenomenal.

Although the language is French, the action speaks for itself as these drones race through the forest.
